Quick Exercises to Do Before Bed | Fitness

I’ve got three different exercises to help
you wind down and relax just before you go to bed. [MUSIC] First exercise. You’re going
to go ahead and lie all the way down on your back. You’re going to come into what’s called
a reclining pigeon. So I’m going to go ahead and bring one leg over the other. Grab a hold
of my opposite hamstring, and just pull gently. Bringing that knee into my chest. Once you
feel a nice little pull on this side, then you’re gonna go ahead and transition to the
opposite side. Bringing that opposite leg over and again grabbing hold of that other
hamstring. Try to relax your shoulders, try to. Keep your entire back pressing to the
ground. Next, I’m gonna go ahead and transition into a reclining spinal twist. Twist. So I’m
gonna go ahead and bring my opposite leg across, look towards my opposite arm, and just press
gently. Hold it here for about ten, 15 seconds. Just to get a nice deep sensation and stretch.
And then I’m gonna move to the opposite side. You can either keep you leg bent, or you can
keep it straight. It’s totally up to you, depends on how tight your back is. So everybody’s
gonna be at a totally different place. [MUSIC] [INAUDIBLE] Last, we have our seated forward
fold. So, that’s basically extending my legs straight out in front of me. Arms reaching
up towards the ceiling. Lift out of your hips first, and then bow all the way forward releasing
any lingering tension that I have in my lower back. And this just really opens up those
hamstrings. Take a couple nice easy breaths here. And now it’s time to lay back down and
get ready for bed.
