Load Potential Gait Training Drill – Stick Mobility Exercise

Load Potential Gait Training Drill – Stick Mobility Exercise

Hey everyone! So, on this drill what I’m going to show
you is a single stick loading potential for your walking and your running patterns. So here I’m going to set my right foot
forward and my left foot back. The stick is going to be on the right side
because this side is going to load, thoracically rotate and load as I go into my stride. So the stick is away from me at one end and
up against the shoulder on the other side. Take your hand, cup your hand,
and grab the stick right like this. What I’m going to do from here is take this right
hand and I’m going to pull the stick towards me. This left hand is not staying passive
and just not doing anything. I want to create tension in this left arm line also. So as I pull that stick towards me, your
going to feel your oblique slings loading. Ease off. Once you’ve done that, go ahead and switch sides. Give it a shot and see how it feels.
