‘I Appreciate Your Six-Pack and Smile’ Vivica to Wannabe Rapper

– Aye, aye, aye, aye!
(Vivica laughs) (audience applauds) Marcus, hearing what Jonathan
just said about your music, what do you think? – Man, he’s trippin’, the dude’s trippin’. – He’s trippin’?
– He’s really trippin’. He don’t know how much
passion I got in it. – [Judy] How long have you been rapping? – About a year and a half to two years. – Now you’ve spent a lot
of money on this, right? This isn’t just a hobby for you, so how much have you invested? – Anywhere from 10,000 to 20,000, in between there somewhere. – You know what, can I
tell you, that doesn’t really bother me because I
believe that if you see yourself and you want a career for
yourself, you have to be willing to invest in yourself.
– Exactly, exactly. – So you know, I applaud you for that.
(audience applauding) – Thank you! – Yeah, you know what,
matter of fact you know, there’s an old saying,
if you wanna make money, you gotta spend money, okay, all right. – You right about that, all right. – Now Jonathan, you’ve
invested in his career as well, right?
– Yes, unfortunately. (audience laughing) – The shade! – Marcus, I’d like to talk,
just let’s let the audience have a little bit of a perspective of you, you got a bachelor’s degree in what? – Mechanical engineering. – [Mary] You got a master’s degree. – Mechanical engineering also. (audience cheers)
– A master’s degree, and you’re working on
your doctorate degree. – [Marcus] Yes, yes I am. Thank you, thank you. – You are a smarty, smarty pants. So how do you feel about
mechanical engineering, are you just not into it as your career? – No, no, I love it, it’s
music and engineering. – [Judy] Hmm, both,
both are your passions. – Yeah, yeah I believe.
– Boy, you have charisma. You are intelligent, you are dedicated, – You got a great smile.
– You have a great smile, I love everything about you. Now I wanna know.
(audience laughing) – Hey, hey, hey, uh-uh! Look, can we stay on track here, y’all? (audience laughing) – I love everything that, you know, when we come and we have our talents that we wanna show the world, and that’s what we wanna do
with the rest of our lives, you have to be able to sell that, people have to support you. You really have to put yourself out there. The question is, why
don’t you believe in him? – It’s not that I don’t believe in him, I do believe in him. I just believe that
mechanical engineering, it’s a bright future for him,
he should maybe stick to that. – Jonathan, you need to
give us some evidence, ’cause we saw him in the costume, so how does the crowd respond to Marcus? – The crowd is confused, they
don’t know whether to clap, whether to laugh.
(audience laughing) They’re laughing, they’re laughing, but I think they’re laughing
at him, not with him. – Ooh.
(audience groans) – Okay, you just threw the
whole tree of shade at him, wow, really? – I like that photo, it
showed a lot of passion. – Okay, but what are the costumes? Could you tell us? – Alright, so I wore onesies
just because I figured if I– – Onesies? – I was wearing like, you
know the costume onesies. It got the crowd more involved faster. So I lost my anxiety and being scared on stage.
– All right, all right. – ‘Cause I already looked like a fool. – So that’s you breaking the ice? – So I go ahead and have energy and then that adds to
who I am as a person. (Judy laughs) – Does the onesie come off? – Oh, it can.
(audience laughs) (audience whooping) – Vivica! Naughty girl! – You gotta know! – Hold up, though! No, no, look here now, okay? ‘Cause you know I’m recovering
from six-pack and smiles. (audience laughs)
I did see that you, in one of the pictures
that you look like you had a nice physique, so I was wondering–
– You want me to just? – You want people to laugh at you, and then kinda you
know, turn on the charm. – You know what I’m saying, you want that? (audience cheers)
– Oh lord! – Look at Mary! She’s like, yes, yes! Look at her, she’s like, yes! Whoo! Whoo! – Mary, I’ll tell you again– – He’s a little bit too young,
a little too young for me. (audience laughs) – [Vivica] Let me tell you, work it, okay? That’s all I got to say, alright? And if you got it, work it, because you know, being
in the music industry is about having appeal.
(audience applauds) So I appreciate your six
pack and that smile, brother.
