The Lat Pulldown machine is a great way to improve upper body strength Because it targets several different muscle groups, especially your back and biceps. As always, if you’re not sure how much weight to lift, start low and work your way up to the appropriate intensity. Make sure that your knees are tucked under the seat pads so that they’re nice and snug. You should feel a good stretch in your back when you’re about to start your workout holding onto that bar. With this machine, your form is most important. You want to be using slow, precise movements that pull the weight down to your chest And then return to the starting position. Make sure to pull the weight straight down. You don’t want your elbows poking out behind you when you pull the bar down to your chest. Envision bringing your shoulder blades together before engaging your arms. Try to keep your core engaged. Nice posture, chest out, back straight and
upright, neutral spine. A slight lean when you pull the weight down is okay. And when you’re all finished, don’t forget
