Exercise Science and Rehabilitation – Minot State University

Our new exercise science and rehabilitation major
includes an element unique to similar programs. Our goal with this is to allow students to help
people be active throughout their lifespan. I think that’s the nice thing about this degree
is that it allows people to learn from, you know, the very young age to the aging population, and how to work with those different populations. As well as looking at biomechanics separate from
pathomechanics in identifying biomechanical errors that individuals have or are dealing with and
assisting them in rehabilitating those. The class sizes here are excellent as far as being
able to interact directly with the students and get to know them. Individual learning experience is great for the
students because they get the feedback right now as opposed to waiting until they take an exam or waiting
until they turn a project in to get the feedback. It sets you with the foundations that you need. They can step right into the work force
after they’re done with this major. It’s going to be an excellent major for students
branching into a number of healthcare careers.
