5EW Exercises: Reverse Hyper


Hey Guys! Today you’re gonna learn how to
do a Reverse Hyper. Now, we have a special machine for this
exercise but I know that some people don’t and if that’s the case, you can
swap this machine out for just your stock standard gym bench or even a Swiss
ball. So, you first want to put your foot in the sling okay, so that it’s resting on
my Achilles. Now take a step and bring my body up onto the bed,
you would do this with a bench, okay, just hold on to one end of the bench grip the
handles and then flip your other foot into the sling. Now, the top section of
the reverse hyper, you want to get good thoracic extension so it works the whole
posterior chain, so don’t flatten out your body like this,
lift your chest nice and high and then with your feet, you want to straighten
out your legs, heels apart and pull your toes together, okay? You bring your body
up squeeze your butt and then nice and controlled on the way back down. Bring
your legs up and then nice and control. If that’s too hard just do your body
weight. Okay, straight legs and then back down.
And that’s a Reverse Hyper!
