This workout is dedicated to Bob Franklin. Moments before this set I received word that Bob had passed away. He was 81 years old. Bob was one of the “Master Blasters” that lifted at Bally’s White Marsh in the early 90’s. When I first joined the gym at 15 years old, there was a Baltimore Sun article posted there with a picture of him. I was impressed not only by how strong these old guys were, but by their dedication. Bob and his crew of masters lifters met at the gym every day at 5am. The article made such an impression on me that I remembered it some 12 years later… When Bob and his wife Joanne moved into the retirement community I was working at. They joined the fitness center and we quickly became friends. Bob was a true meathead and he loved his biceps curls. As much as I tried, I could never get him to train his legs. ๐Ÿ™‚ So this squat workout is dedicated to him. 300 x 20 Personal Record
