10 Effective Exercises to Improve Your Reaction Time

Hey, guys, what’s up. It’s Yangyang Here. Today I will teach you the most effective exercises that help you improve your reaction time. As we all known, table tennis is a fast sports Because the ball is smaller and the court is shorter than most of other ball sports Anything could happen in 10 only seconds So reaction time is one of the determined key to lead us to the success of your table tennis In this video, I will provide two different versions exercise one for beginners and the other is for the advanced players Each version includes 5 exercises So, please stick to watch the video and we will jump into the lesson Coach will call the number 1 or 2 randomly, 1 means move to the right, 2 means move to the left student has to make quick reaction and make the right movement after they hear the calls. Student throws the ball against the wall with one hand and catch it with another hand Coach will have two balls in hand, and drop one randomly Student has to make quickly identify and catch the ball being dropped Coach will call the direction like, left and right, student reacts and turns the body to the right direction Coach will throw the ball to student’s left or right side student has to move over and catch it Those are the simple but effective exercises for beginners Here comes the advanced exercises which requires to involve your entire body and move faster Now, coach will call the numbers which are greater than 1 and 2 all the odd numbers like 1, 3, 5, student has to move to the right and all the even numbers like 2, 4, 6, student has to move to the left. good job Student runs fast forward coach will clap and make a single to the student once hear the single, student turns backwards and keep running. Similar exercise like begginning version but this time, coach will throw the ball farther and with different direction instead of only left and right. Coach will stand far from the student with two balls in hand and drop one ball suddenly student has to physically move to catch the ball before it bounce it twice Now, coach will call the direction left and right, and also the numbers, 1 and 2 together once coach call the left and right, student turns the body to the right direction once coach call the number, 1 means move to the right, 2 means move to the left Sweet, that’s all for today.     Tennis was my main sport for years and I could always get away with watching my shot, due to the longer court. Table tennis is crazy fast! You must get your racquet back right away and be ready to hit.
